CLICK! - Life at Six Feet
Six Feet is a collaborative photography project that began as an urgent call to photographers everywhere to share personal and intimate images from within this time of social distancing and confinement. Very quickly, we have grown into a community-of-practice. At the heart of this project is a passion for photography, a belief in the transformative power of the medium, and a genuine desire to foster the creative lives of photographers of all levels.
With support from the Click! PIC Grant, we have hosted forums, practice groups, artist talks, and calls-for-engagement. Most importantly, photographers of all levels have come together to share their works in progress and support each other. For many of us, photography offered a way to find personal meaning and voice in this raw and vulnerable time.
As restrictions begin to lift, we are working together as a community to bring the photographs and content created out into the physical world. The Six Feet project has received photo submissions from over 75 countries and has hosted over 40,000 visits to our website. A testament, we believe, to the power of photography to connect us.
This selection of images was curated by members of our collaborative team - Susan Patrice, Mike Belleme, Frances Bukovsky, and lydia see, and it represents a very small sampling of Six Feet content gathered over the last six months, from our galleries, special features, and images posted to Instagram using our hashtag, #lifeatsixfeet.
This gallery premiered on the CLICK! website here.
