Thou Art... Will Give... Navigating a Professional Practice w/ Eric Kunsman

Recorded: Thursday, September 3rd, at 7 pm ET

“Building an authentic and professional photography practice requires the ability to give as much as we take.”

By placing the community in the center of his work, Eric Kunsman has made his mark as a photographer, book artist, fine printmaker, educator, collaborator, and, most generously, as a mentor to many emerging photographers.

In that spirit of generosity, Eric joined us to talk about the ins and outs of navigating a professional practice including the limitations of editing ones own work, the vulnerable terrain of managing rejections, the critical role of community, and a few surprising secrets that might help us along our path.

Eric Kunsman holds his MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and holds an MS in Electronic Publishing/Graphic Arts Media, BS in Biomedical Photography, BFA in Fine Art photography all from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
